Like a starved greyhound, Gbemi Saraki has swallowed her own vomit. That is because after everything, she dumped PDP for APC. If there was an avatar for instability and inconsistency, Gbemi Saraki, would clearly fit the bill, warts and all. With the rate at which many politicians of the Nigerian stock dump one party for another, one does not need to look deep to know that many of them play the game with a mindset different from that of their counterparts in the west or even here in some African countries. The entrant into this circle of these political prostitutes is Gbemi, the younger sister of Sen. Bukola Saraki. Today, few hours to the presidential election, she dumped the party that brought her political relevance in recent time.
Gbemi was angered by the decision of the presidency to impose Hajia Bola Shagaya as the leader of the party in the state. Her grouse is that apart from being a Saraki, she has invested more in the party than Shagaya who is an Abuja-based businesswoman. More so, that Shagaya is not grounded in Kwara State politics. Indeed, apart from being close to the corridors of power, Shagaya has never been known to be a politician until now. This, we hear, was the basis of their quarrel.
Now, Gbemi has dumped PDP like a bad habit, thanks to her brother, Bukola Saraki who has been supporting her financially.
