The Sokoto State Government said on Friday that it had earmarked N175 million for Ramadan feeding programme
The Commissioner of Religious Affairs in the state, Alhaji Tukur Alkali, disclosed this in an interview in Sokoto.
He said 84 feeding centres had been created across the state to ensure smooth conduct of the annual event.
He said the state government had also set up a committee to monitor the conduct of the exercise.
Alkali urged people of the state to reciprocate the gesture by praying for God's intervention in the socio-economic and political development of the state.
He said the prayers would enable leaders to fashion out comprehensive development package, adding that it would also help to sustain peace and progress of the state.
