Ondo APC on a Coalition Cause to reunite Aggrieved Members- Kekemeke

The Internal wrangling rocking the All Progressive Congress (APC) party in Ondo state would soon be over just has the party is set to reconcile all the aggrieved members from different interests.

Mr. Isaac Kekemeke, the elected chairman of the party in the state gave the hint at the weekend while fielding questions from Journalists in Akure, the state capital.
 
Kekemeke said his mission is to unite all the aggrieved and contending groups in the party who might make it difficult for the party in gaining its feat with other opposition party in the state.

"The issue is that united we stand, divided we fall".

He revealed that he has been receiving delegations from almost all the parties supporters across the 18 local government areas of the state with an assurance to serve the people with all interest, an intent that the party would soon solve all its internal crisis.

The former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain and one time Secretary to the Ondo State Government under the late Governor Olusegun Agagu had pulled 499 votes to narrowly defeat his close rival, Professor Ade Adetimehin, who scored 497 in an open contest election to emerge the State Chairman of the APC.

He noted that first on his agenda after inauguration is to see how he can work together with everyone in the party in achieving success.

Crisis in the State party had surfaced when the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Congress for Progress Change (CPC) and the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) in the state boycotted the Congresses introduced by the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to choose wards and state executives.

Reasons for boycotting was over allegations of 'sharp practices' on the part of the newly formed All Progressive Congress (APC) leaders of the state.

Following these, the aggrieved group and aligned parties went to chose, Captain Ademola Ariyo who was a former Board of Trustee (BOT) member of the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) as its Factional Chairman.

Other Factional execitve members are: Olalekan Obolo, former Chairman of the Congress for Progress Change (CPC) serving has the Secretary, and Chief Yemisi Aladesaye serving has the Treasurer.

Speaking on the emergence of another parallel executive members in the party, the State APC chairman disclosed that talks is underway to address the issue.

Our Correspondent had learnt that a Congress Appeal Committee has been put in place by the party's National Executives to address all issues arising from the just concluded Congresses.

All Reports and Complains submitted by the Committee after the Appeal shall be worked upon, a Source in the party told Our Correspondent.

"All aggrieved groups will soon align with our step has we have already put talks in place to address it with the spirit of inclusiveness and progressiveness" he said.

The APC in the State had said they are in a coalition cause with a mission to wrestle power from the Incumbent Labour Party (LP) as well capable of winning the 2015 Presidential and general elections.
