Princess Adesida gave the charge after presenting some food items which include 4 bags of rice, over 50 tubers of yams, 2 kegs of palm oil and a goat to the inmates of the Ago-Ireti Leprosorium in Akure in honour of her late father, Oba Adebiyi Adesida.
It was a royal visit for the inmates and one they copiously enjoyed during the short reign of the Late Deji, Oba Adebiyi Adesida with all the full complements expected of such visit.
Addressing the inmates, Princess Adesida said the visit which was her maiden one, was to continue with the tradition of her late father which was to constantly identify with the less privileged.
She also assured them of the palace's constant support and urged other well meaning individuals in the society to emulate this gesture to make the inmates have a sense of belonging in the society.
The Regent also expressed optimism that the recently held interdenominational prayer will soon begin to usher the much needed peace and progress in the town.
Responding, the head of the leprosarium, Evangelist Daniel Bamigbetan thanked the Regent for the visit and prayed for unprecedented successes during her reign as well as more landmark achievements in the state.
The regent was accompanied on the visit by her mother, Olori Mojisola Adesida, past Oloris, and some members of the Adesida family.
