WHAT A FACELIFT TO USHER IN A NEW SESSION
- SCHOOL RESUME TO END 2011/2012 ACADEMIC SESSION BY JULY

With this session as the last days of the administration of Prof. M.S Audu, People who used to know how the school environment is before now will definitely find it difficult to believe with the newest transformation that is offloading on both campuses of the institution. There are now things that will trill visitors visiting the citadel of learning, amaze satellite students who went on break and make the fresh students fall in love more with the institution.

The institution which celebrated her 27th anniversary this year with current students’ population of more than 15,000 and staff strength of about 2,467 and have six school which are School of Engineering and Engineering Technology, School of Environmental Technology, School of Information and Communication Technology, School of Entrepreneurship Technology and School of Science and Science Education now has all her hall of residence, lecture rooms and laboratories renovated with the buildings having a face lift as if it was a new generational school, with its cream and wine color used in panting the buildings and giving them a colorful look which is breath taking.

It was gathered that a story wrote by the writer had spur the institution authority to take a second thought on the state of the hall of residence of the school by making it more conducive for students to stay in. As at the time of filing in this report, workers were seen all over the school building making sure everything is set before school resume proper to start all academic works. It gladdens my heart that students are now seen like humans and not animals and I hope this transformation will extend to the transportation scheme of the school, with less queues in this session and a stress free bus park for students shuttling between the two campuses for academics purposes.

The renovations were not only on the buildings but also on the environmental arena and land scape of the school, also noticed was introduction of speed breakers within the school which is giving the students a sense of safety of life from accidents within the school premises and navigation sign post describing each strategic places within the school that can easily guide any visitor visiting the school for the first time to any place her or she want to visit without any challenge.
With these latest developments learning will be made interesting and students will be proud to receive lecture under circumstances like this new environment, the grass blend with the trees and shade to cool off the sun of the northern region of the country. But to be truthful as a student I will be happy to stay in an environment that will enhance my learning ability, which is part of what counselor in our school use to say but because of the decline in our educational sector in the country students are not opportune to experience that can of life styles which our counterpart in other country enjoy.

Students of Federal University of Technology, Minna started their departmental registration in Monday 21st of November; 2011 with them trying to meet up with the basic requirement for clearance and fixing themselves up for the fast approaching resumption. Campus life gathered that fresh students paid acceptance fee which varies with each school having a stipulated payment and ended at noon of November; 2011 with students who refused to pay losing their admission status and satellite students having their registration done. Associations on campus were seen canversing students to pay their dues and meeting departmental executives with necessary information to keep the on their right stand in going about the procedure.
