In a bid to reinforce his administration's commitment to effective governance in Ondo State, Governor Aiyedatiwa on Thursday, inaugurated new cabinet members.
Speaking at the Inauguration ceremony held at Cocoa conference hall, Alagbaka Akure, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed his eagerness deliver on the mandate given to him on 16th November, 2024, by the people of Ondo State.
"As we progress in this new administration, we shall put in place performance measuring techniques not only to ensure that all appointees adhere to the ethos of the public service but also to work tirelessly to justify their appointments.
"The import of this is that, this administration will have zero tolerance for corruption, indolence and disloyalty. We demand excellent performance from all appointees, for that is the primary reason we were voted into office by the good people of Ondo State".
while congratulating the newly sworn-in Executive Council Members, Governor Aiyedatiwa noted that they have been chosen for these enviable positions based on their antecedents and track records.
He charged then to justify the confidence reposed in them individually and collectively. "You must be dynamic, focused and innovative in your various offices, working in tandem with your oaths of office and allegiance".
He also urged them to always work in collaboration with the career officers, particularly the Permanent Secretaries and other Accounting Officers in their various MDAs. "It is one unified administration with a shared vision. We are a team, so we require team spirit and mutual respect to succeed in this onerous task of making life more meaningful to our people in the Sunshine State".
Governor Aiyedatiwa appreciated the House of Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji for the speedy, though meticulous consideration and confirmation of the Commissioner Nominees, describing it as a testament to their selflessness, unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people, and the mutual relationship between the Legislative and Executive Arms of Ondo State.
Speaking in behalf of other cabinet members, The new Secretary to the State Government, Dr Taiwo Fasoranti appreciated Governor Aiyedatiwa for finding them worthy of their different positions, pledging to deliver exceptional service to the State.
"We will not let you down, we will use our offices for the development of the State, we will work with one mind with each other and protect the image of Ondo State".
The new cabinet members are; Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti as the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Olukayode Ajulo as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mrs Omowunmi Isaac as Commissioner for finance, Engr. Abiola Olawoye as Special Adviser to the Governor on Infrastructure, Lands and Housing.
Others are; Engr. Johnson Alabi, Special Adviser on Power, Dr. Seun Osamaye, Special Adviser on Women Affairs, Comrade Bola Taiwo, Special Adviser on Union Matters & Special Duties, Prof Simidele Odimayo, Special Adviser on Health.
