Akure-South Local Government Set to Partner with TEHUB Africa for IT Fundamentals Training of Local Government Staff
Hon. Dr Gbenga Donald Fasua, transitional chairman of Akure-South Local Govt has met with Confidential Secretaries of the Local government with the HOLGA presenting the workers.
The chairman emphasised his commitment to Staff welfare and developing human skills, Which prompted him to organise a training workshop for the council's confidential Secretaries.
In a significant move towards enhancing digital literacy and capacity building, the Akure-South Local Government partners with TEHUB Africa, a leading tech institute and vocational training centre, to train 20 council's confidential Secretaries in IT fundamentals in the first phase of his staff training.
This initiative is part of a broader effort of the Chairman to equip the local government employees with essential digital skills, ensuring they are better prepared to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
The partnership was initiated following a recent visit by the Chairman of Akure South Local Government to TEHUB Africa's state-of-the-art facilities, Impressed by the institute's comprehensive range of services and its commitment to empowering individuals through technology and vocational training.
The training program is expected to cover foundational IT skills, enabling participants to improve their efficiency, enhance service delivery, and contribute to the local government's digital transformation goals.
