Hon. Falana who said she would be working with the agency towards achieving sets goals noted that the meeting was first for familiarization and also to look through the work plan for the year as the Governor is interested in actualizing his good intentions to meet the needs of the physically challenged in the state.

While exploring some of the opportunities that can be harnessed to better the lots of people with disabilities in the state, Hon. Olamide said she is taking steps to facilitate trainings for them just as she charged the team to brace up for the task ahead as not much has been done in the area of gender based violence among people with disabilities.
Proposing days to talk about disabilities issues and gender based violence, Hon. Falana said it is important to be visible in order to attract grants as government cannot do it alone.
Olamide appreciated the great efforts of Mr Governor in alleviating the plight of people with disabilities stating that Ondo state is doing well amidst other states in their welfare while noting that all these needs to be made known to the public through well articulated media engagements and during special events.
She encouraged step down of activities of the agency into senatorial districts as this will enable more people benefit rather than state capital alone.
Giving a brief on some of the achievements of the agency, the chairman, Mrs. Folashade appreciated the Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for employing people with disabilities into the civil service and also paying regularly the subvention as well as sponsoring the education of some people with disabilities.
Mrs. Arise while assuring that the agency looks forward to a robust relationship with the government expressed optimism that the agency will embark on projects in the first quarter of the year
Also in attendance at the crucial meeting include Jatuwase H. Esq.,the secretary, Mr. Yusuf Akinfemi, Director of Accounts, Mr. Olowojola Rufus, the Chief Internal Auditor, and Mrs. Gbesobi Olusola.
