The National leadership of the People's Redemption Party ( PRP) on Tuesday, 10th August, 2021 engaged state leaders of the party across south west at a Leadership Summit held at Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The National Leadership of the party led by Hon. Babatunde Francis Ali, the National Secretary said the summit was conceptualized to engage all south west state leaders on the direction of the party and to reposition them for effectiveness in all areas of party administration most especially with regards to membership drive.

Hon. Ali who said the national body expect an increased confidence in the dissemination of party plans for the masses as an aftermath of the summit urged state leaders to go back to their respective states motivated to deliver on all set goals.
Speaking on the party's plan in Ogun State, the chairman, Hon. Samson Okunsanya said all hands are now on deck to make the party vibrant in southwest as the people are dearly waiting for a way out of the present predicament Nigeria has found itself in as a result of bad leadership.
Hon. Okusanya also used the opportunity to express the readiness of PRP as a party to tackle issues and bring law and order back to the society for the sake of the poor masses.
Also speaking, Hon.Ogunyemi Sunday from Ekiti State enjoined the people to keep a date with the party as it will deliver on the promise of redemption to the people of the state and Nigeria at large if voted into power.
Alhaji Mustapha Moshood Adekunle, State chairman, Lagos State while noting that the summit has long been overdue said Lagos PRP is well positioned to take its pride of place in the next elections in the state. "We are using our own system in Lagos State to position ourselves properly. I can say that PRP is the 3rd most popular political party in Lagos after APC and PDP", he added saying the summit will go a long way in strengthening all loopholes for effectiveness of party leaders to achieve set goals.
On what to expect from Osun State, Hon. Abiodun Afolabi said the party will reposition itself as a fallout of the summit, ahead of the 2022 elections in the state towards unseating the present party in government.

While also noting that he was happy that the leaders deemed it fit to come together to chart the way forward, Hon. Afolabi enjoined the members to stay united towards achieving the goals of the party.
Aare Omo Adeola Adepoju, state chairman, Oyo State while also commending the leadership for organizing the summit said PRP Oyo State is doing all in its power to gain relevance in the heart of the people as much emphasis will now be placed on membership drive as a welfarist party.
Earlier, the Ondo State Chairman, Hon.Oluwasesan Oladele said he was very happy to play host to other leaders in the state while urging the people not to be deceived by other political parties that have failed the people saying PRP is positioned to right all the wrongs in the society.
