The People's Democratic Party, PDP, has advised Ondo state Governor, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to discontinue with his administration's plan to build another Government House lodge with alleged two billion naira amidst irregular payment of salaries to workers.
The main opposition party's State Chairman, Alhaji Fatai Adams, who gave the charge while speaking with newsmen in Akure, also expressed concern over mass resignation of medical doctors from the state Public service as a result of percentage salary payment.
According to Alhaji Adams, it is a height of callousness for any state government to be proposing multi-billion naira new Governor's Lodge when teeming workers are hungry as a result of accumulated unpaid salaries.
The Ondo PDP Chairman flanked by his Executive officers, said there was a need for the governor to discontinue the building project to enable him focus on the payment of salaries of the state workforce and medical doctors.
