Ondo state Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and his estranged friend and immediate predecessor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko today met for the first time at a public function since the duo engaged in political cold war during the last October 10 2020 governorship election in the state.
SUNSHINETRUTH recalls that Mimiko had allegedly abandoned his friend Akeredolu ahead of the poll to support Aketi's former deputy, Agboola Ajayi on the platform of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), which led to series of verbal wars between the two friends.
Akeredolu won the election by beating Agboola to third position.

However, both Mimiko and Akeredolu today met at the 70th anniversary thanksgiving service of Afenifere, held at St. David's Anglican Cathedral Akure, the state capital.
Our correspondent who witnessed the church programme saw the duo exchanging pleasantry to delight of other worshippers and Afenifere chieftains.
