Ondo State Government to pay 5 months deductions, 2 months subvention and September Pension

Ondo state government is to pay outstanding 5 months deductions from May to September to cooperative societies, two months subventions for June and July to teritiary institutions, September salary to UNIMED workers and pensioners.

The government will also pay local government and primary school teachers their September salaries.

The payments are to be effected in the next one week.

This was part of the agreement reached with the Organised labour by the government after marathons meetings as well as interface with the workforce.

The agreement was signed at the office of the head of service, dare Aragbaiye with labour leaders led by the JNC chairman, Niyi Fabunmi, NLC chairman, Sunday Adeleye and TUC chairman, Helen Odofin represented by Comrade Tajudeen Balogun as well as leaders of affiliate unions.

The agreement is expected to douse tensions among the workforce over salary arrears, pensions, deductions to cooperative societies, and subventions to tertiary institutions and statutory bodies.

The Head of Service, Dare Aragbaiye thanked the labour leaders for their understanding and assured of government commitment to their welfare.

Earlier, The NLC Chairman, Sunday Adeleye, told workers at an interface that the state government has agreed to pay at least one month salary before end of December while labour will it impress on government to pay the 2019 leave bonus for level 8 and above with remaining funds.
