The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon Bamidele Oloyelogun has said there will be no ceremonial presentation of 2021 budget by the state Govenor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
He explained that the Governor has been advised to transmit the 2021 Appropriation Bill to the house for consideration instead of the ceremonial presentation in view of the fact that the current temporary chamber of the house may not be spacious enough to host the Governor and his entourage during the Budget Presentation.
Oloyelogun made the disclosure after the Governor paid an unscheduled visit to Assembly complex to inspect the ongoing renovation of the premises.
The leadership of the State Legislature led by the Speaker, Rt Hon.Bamidele Oloyelogun, the new Majority Leader Hon. Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi and the Clerk of the House Mr Bode Adeyelu were on ground to welcome the Governor.
Governor Akeredolu was conducted round various sections of the assembly complex where renovation works of different magnitude were ongoing.
The Speaker appealed to the people of the state to continue to support the Arakunrin Akeredolu administration just as he promised a better working relationship with the executive arm of government for the good of the people of the state in the coming year.
