Pastor in charge of solution Baptist Church, Reverend Oladimeji Gbolagade has been gruesomely murdered by unknown gunmen along Igbara Odo, Ikere road in Ekiti State.
It was learnt that the lifeless body of the cleric was found in his personal car in the wee hours on thursday.
It was reliably gathered that the Gbolagade was returning from a journey when the unfortunate incident happened.
Speaking on the incident, the President of Ekiti Baptist Church, Reverend Adeyinka Aribasoye said the deceased had traveled to see his mother at Ipetu Ijesa, Osun State and was returning from the journey when the incident occurred.
According to him, the incident is synonymous to a kidnapping case that went wrong, perhaps he refused to stop for the abductors thus making them to open fire on him.
Reverend Aribasoye added that the family was already expecting him but when they found out that he was getting too late, they began to make series of contacts before they found out that he had been killed on the road.
