Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is no stranger when it comes to leading a progressive leadership especially when it comes to the issues which relates to common good of all, one who has proven himself over the years to be above the leagues of mediocre which has become one of the obvious features of our socio-political discourse. Adding to this, is his unwavering determination and conscious efforts to seeing through whatever he envisions for the growth and development of Ondo State.
It is the general course of nature that the chrysalis does become a fully grown butterfly in a day, it takes a specific period of time, and this also can be said of the natural world of men. This realization perhaps engineered the various developmental strides of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN ever since the inception of his government in the State.
While each of the 18 local government areas of the State bears various testaments and obvious marks of his progressive and sustainable projects, one noticeable fact is that these various projects and achievements points to a man with a vision, one with the esoteric eyes which sees tomorrow and plan for it.
Ondo State just like several other states among the 36 states of the federation, is one which was among the states with the straight jacket economy as a larger percent of its inhabitants are civil servants. However the emergence of Arakunrin Akeredolu has seen to a continual and progressive change to altering this identity.
With the various economic policies and initiatives which have seen to the birth of new industries, birth and growth of small and medium scale enterprise, the unending empowerment of the youthful populace, the State has been set on the path to becoming an industrial giant among its contemporaries.
What is industrialization without a proper infrastructural structure? Indeed, Arakunrin saw the future and he has already laid the foundation for the future. The massive infrastructural development going on in the state is unprecedented. In the history of the state, the Akeredolu led administration has distinguished itself unique and different from the rest.
It is no surprising when the Governor made the heartfelt call to the people of Ondo State that they should ensure continuity in the state before the last gubernatorial election in Ondo State, this was the pure testament of a man who knew his onions, one who saw into the future, who worked towards it and is committed to seeing it through.
