The African Democratic Congress ADC,has picked Mr Dapo Adelegan as the standard bearer of the of the party in the slated October 10 governorship election in Ondo state.
Mr Dapo Adelegan was unanimously elected by the party delegates across the 18 Local government areas of the state.
The Chairman of the electoral committee, who is also the national Secretary of the party,Alhaji Ibrahim Suleiman put the primary election into voice votes where all the 77 delegates agreed and accepted that Dapo Adelegan as the governorship candidate of the party for October 10 election in the state.
The election was monitored by the independent national electoral commission INEC in atmosphere of peace.
While addressing the party stakeholders the electoral committee chairman Suleiman emphasised that ADC has what it takes to win the election in ondo state.
Four Aspirants stepped down for Mr Dapo Adelegan to emerge as consensus ADC Governorship candidate in the October 10 election in the state.
The candidate who is from Owo in the northern senatorial district of Ondo state, vowed to open up the economy of the state,provision of Social welfare package,infrastructural facilities,equipp all the hospitals in the state with the modern technologies.
Also,promised to establish Student Loans to encourage children free access to education and encouragement of e learning in everything in the state.
The candidate pledged further that,he ll use his wealth of experience to attract local&international investors into the state,creating industries as well jobs,embark on policy of affordable transportation for people change political temperature of the state and revive Ondo state in all spheres.
However,he said the candidate of the people's Democratic party PDP in October 10 governorship election in Ondo syate, Eyitayo Jegede ll fail again,because is not the turn of Ondo Central.
According to the INEC guide lines for Ondo governorship primaries election,25 the July is the last day for all the political parties to conclude their primaries in the state.
