It was a landmark occasion for the camp of the incumbent Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu as support groups across the 18 Local Government Areas of the State in a display and affirmation of their unalloyed loyalty and support to the Akeredolu led administration and his second term bid, endorsed the Governor for another term while also promising to present the Governor with the Party nomination form.
The groups in a meeting with the special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Rt. Hon.Victor Olabimtan expressed their utmost satisfaction with the activities of the Akeredolu led administration in the State, stating that the government has brought immense growth and development to the state, also adding that the Governor has not only changed the narrative for better in the State, but has also ensured that there's no area left marginalised in the process. They unanimously reaffirmed their belief that if Arakunrin Akeredolu is given the chance to continue steering the affairs of the state, the state will certainly attain a place of pride in the league of states in the federation.
Responding to the groups, Hon.Victor Olabimtan commended them for taking a bold step in their effort to support a development focused administration, an administration that is also committed to building long lasting impactful projects all over the state. He furthermore added that the Akeredolu led administration upon the mandate given by the good people of Ondo State will never renege on its promise to see that Ondo State attains a greater height of economic prosperity. He informed the highly enthusiastic groups present that the Governor will be present on the 12th of June 2020 to receive the nomination form himself.
Some of the groups present include; Non Employed Group, Pentagon Movement Group (PMG), Sunshine Integrity Group, Ibi Giga Ambassadors, Igbos Association, Ondo Youth Arise, Aketi Vision 2020, Ibi Giga Grassroot Mobilization, Aketi Continuity Mandate Group, Ondo State Entertainment for Aketi, Sunshine Rescue team amongst others.
