…  Boroffice is just making much ado over nothing, Says Omogunwa

The newly endorsed consensus candidate of the Unity Forum in the Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC),  Chief Olusola Oke has said that the report issued by Senator Ajayi Boroffice towards him is baseless and unfounded.

Oke, who in a telephone chat with Western Post through his media aide, Rotimi Ogunleye, said though such rancor is expected in a political setting, believing that everything would soon fade off.

According to Ogunleye," looking at the antecedents of Oke, he has never been known for a shady character at any point in time neither has he been alleged for any corrupt practices in his entire life.

"Anyway, there will be a surge of protest but the allegation is frivolous and unguided to the personality of a Senior Advocate Of Nigeria that he(Oke) would step down for Governor Rotimi Akeredolu days to the primaries."

Also, the Chairman of the screaming Committee, Senator Yele Omogunwa while speaking exclusively with Western Post, said, Boroffice is a Chieftain of the party and he should have forwarded whosoever he wants rather than the game he is playing.

He said further that, Oke is a straight forward man, who has attained the peak of his career.

His words, "how would you expect someone like that to trade off his ambition and trust bestowed on him by the people. Definitely he knows the outcome, so he can't do such.  They just want to play politics with his integrity which is bad.

"The committee has recommended Oke, whosoever that is not pleased with it should go ahead and contest, it's very simple, all the rantings are just excuses," Omogunwa said

Meanwhile, Senator Ajayi Boroffice has issued a statement that, Oke would likely step down for Akeredolu, few days to the primaries.

The Senator had issued statements since the emergence of Olusola Oke in the Unity Forum the Senator belongs.

It would be recalled that the Forum recommended Olusola Oke on 12th May, 2020 in Akure to contest against the governor whom they alleged to have coursed disunity in the party since his inauguration in 2016.
