Hausa community in Ondo state has debunked rumor that Almajiris from the Northern part of the country have arrived at a popular Shasha market along Akure – Ọwọ highway.

Speaking exclusively with Western Post on Tuesday, the vice-chairman of Shasha market and the Chairman of the Meyatty Allah Association of Nigeria, Ondo state chapter, Alhaji Bello Garba said the rumor calls for investigation and prosecution.

"It is a pure lie that Almajiris came into the state from the north. Policemen and military are at the checking points at different levels. Then you ask how come they entered the state?," he asked.

Garba, who was so furious about the report said, whosoever that must have raised this issue should come out with facts. Then, we can believe but failure to do that will attract sanctions.

Miyatti Allah Chairman also said, Shasha Market is a place where people buy and sell, and which is also open to all to see if indeed they import any form of persons into the state.

He, therefore, appealed to the good people of the state to remain calm that the security men are really doing their jobs in safe guiding the lives and property of the citizens.

He mandated the government of Ondo state and the security men to start working on the case with the immediate effect and prosecute anyone found culpable of deceiving the masses.
