The Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Commerce and Industry, Hon. Samuel Fabiyi has applauded the Akeredolu led government in Ondo State for being sensitive to the needs of the downtrodden in the face of COVID-19 lockdown across states of the federation.
Hon. Fabiyi stated this yesterday as he took delivery of the palliatives earmarked for Odigbo Local Government at the Government House ground at Alagbaka, Akure.
According to him, the move by the government to reach out to the less privilege at a time like this is commendable as many have lost hope of survival in the face of the lock down.
"Mr. Governor has given us a directive that we should reach out to the vulnerable – those who don't have hope of survival. You know some people won't be able to eat if they don't go out in a day to hustle. This palliative is for such individuals", he said while affirming that a list of verifiable names have been drawn across the local government to reach the downtrodden irrespective of religion or party affiliation.
While urging the people to stay at home and be safe, he also used the opportunity to thank Mr. Governor for the gesture.
