Militants shut down Governor’s office in Ondo

Protesting militants from the riverine area of Ondo state have shut down the governor's office in Akure preventing human and vehicular movement around the area.

The militants under the aegis of Forest Boy with General Osi their leader sacked the security operatives at the gate of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu's office before driving in their buses.

They chanted solidarity songs accusing the state government of collecting their guns and refused to give them amnesty.

At press time Governor's security aide, Alhaji Jimoh Dojumo is meeting with them while more detachment of police, NSCDC personnel have been deployed to the scene.
