Reports says the Ondo State Mother and Child Hospital in Akure, is now a shadow of itself due to the utter abandonment by the Rotimi Akeredolu led Government since its roof was destroyed by rainstorm two months ago.
Radio Nigeria Correspondent who visited the hospital alongside some journalists on Sunday observed that the damaged roof of the hospital was yet to be repaired due to lack of funds while the entire premises had been overgrown with weeds.
One of the medical doctors at the hospital who spoke with the newsmen on condition of anonymity said the rainstorm also destroyed major and minor theatres with multi-billion naira equipment while critical medical materials were packed outside the building.
Sources from within the government circle has also exclusively revealed to Nigerian Cable News that the governor has no plan to repair the roof, as other political interests are occupying the top in preference.
