A Nigerian Disc Jockey (DJ), Kikiowo Kayode popularly known as DJ Kaykang, said the passion for DJ job made him achieve a lot.
He started the job when he was in university some years ago and his love for occupation kept him going.
He noted that he did not take the job seriously initially, but he got a job with Orange FM as a radio DJ immediately he graduated from University, where his appreciation of the job increased and he got avenue to utilise it well.
According to Kayode, " I grew up listening to DJ Neptune mix on radio, which enable me to created more interest in the business in me.
"The road has not been smooth but the love I have for the business keep me doing higher.
"DJ Technology has evolved immensely during the last 20 years beat matching is computerized, tracks can be found all over the web and online, DJ courses all make it easy for beginners to master the technical side of DJing in a very short time."
He mentioned different challenges of the job, including staying out late at night, need to have all genre of songs, the facts that some parties are not well secured to mention a few which been able to cope with.
He stressed that he sometimes need to go to some radio stations to look for old record and convert to mp3 in order to meet his clients demand.
He urged upcoming DJs not to run after money but they work hard to make a name first and after that money will come.
He said that he loves travelling, since he started working as a DJ he had traveled to Anambra, Delta, Abuja, Kaduna, Kwara to mention but a few, while hoping the job will take him out of the country soon.
