Steve Otaloro, Ondo APC Director of Media and Publicity has come under fire from the party's acting chairman, Ade Adetimehin over his open letter, accusing the Chairman of Board of Ondo State Radiovision Corporation, OSRC and Orange fm, Kunle Adebayo of working against the interest of the party.
Adetimehin and Publicity Secretary, Omoba Abayomi Adesanya in separate interviews with SUNSHINE HERALD disclosed that Otaloro was not authorised to issue the statement.
Adetimehin who was visibly surprised at the existence of such letter asked our reporter who contacted him to forward it to him.
"The only thing is, he has no capacity to release such, he has no capacity. Let me have the post," he told SUNSHINE HERALD.
Adetimehin did not respond to his calls again after SUNSHINE HERALD sent him the open letter.
Omo'ba Abayomi Adesanya, the Publicity Secretary went further to state that the constitution of the party does not authorise the Director of Publicity, a staff of the party to issue statements on behalf of the party.
He further referred our reporter to a statement he issued to that effect March 14 this year.
"Otaloro is like all other employee of the party. Just like the administrative secretary, clerk and others.
Adesanya also debunked the allegations levelled against the OSRC boss.
"There is no running battle between the party and OSRC not at all. No even one thing.
"He is a very committed member of the party, and a disciplined member of the party. He respects the supremacy of the party, I can say that.
"It is Otaloro that has been having an untoward behavior behavior to the party. Not now, it has been for along time," he said.
When asked why the party had not sacked Otaloro if he has indeed been misrepresenting the party, Adesanya said he was sacked during the tenure of former Chairman, Isaacs Kekemeke.
"He was sacked by the former chairman of the party because of this untoward attitude. Kekemeke sacked him before the governorship election of 2016. I don't know how he got back to the party through the back door.
SUNSHINE HERALD however recall that Adesanya whose tenure elapses after the National Convention of the party has been having a running battle with Otaloro on who is authorised to speak for the party.
