The management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko has insisted that the resumption date for both returning and fresh students remains unchanged.

This is contained in a statement issued by the institution's management, signed by the Registrar, Ayeerun on Wednesday and made available to Sunshine Herald.

This is coming after protests by students against the tuition hike entered day three.

It was further revealed in the statement that online screening and registration of fresh and returning students commenced from Sunday, 8th April, 2018 and will end on Saturday, 14th April, 2018 while the fresh students are to resume on Sunday, 15th April, 2018.

According to the statement, lectures would commence for the fresh students on Monday, 16th April, 2018.

Returning students would resume on Sunday, 22nd April, 2018 while lectures would commence on Monday, 23rd April, 2018

The management also insisted on the scheduling of the Students' school fees with options of per semester payment as follows:

Fresh students in the Faculties of Arts and Education ₦150,000 per session or ₦75,000 per semester

Returning students in the Faculties of Arts and Education ₦120,000 per session or ₦60,000 per semester

Fresh students in the Faculties of Science, Agriculture and Social and Management Sciences ₦180,000 per session or ₦90,000 per semester

Returning students in the Faculties of Science, Agriculture and Social and Management Sciences ₦150,000 per session or ₦75,000 per semester

Fresh students in the Faculty of Law ₦200,000 per session or ₦100,000 per semester

Returning students in the Faculty of Law ₦150,000 per session or ₦75,000 per semester

While urging the students to pay their school fees and resume as scheduled, the management  noted that the deadline for online screening, registration and payment would be strictly adhered to.
