Mr. Segun Abraham, first runner-up in the  2016 Ondo state All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election has asked the winner and incumbent governor of the state, Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to resign honorably before being sacked.

Abraham while reacting to a supreme court judgment earlier today, said the verdict shows the frivolous attitude of Mr. Akeredolu and his cohorts.

SUNSHINE HERALD recalled that Mr. Akeredolu had, by the appeal, challenged a July 20017 judgment of the Court of Appeal, Abuja, which upheld an order by a Federal High Court in Abuja, granting permission to Olusegun Abraham to serve him through substituted means, court documents in relation to the suit he filed challenging the outcome of the APC primary, which produced Akeredolu as the party's candidate for the last governorship election in Ondo state.

In a unanimous judgment on Friday morning, a five-man panel headed by Justice John Okoro of the Supreme Court held that Akeredolu's appeal was without merit.

Justice John Okoro, in the lead judgment, read by Justice Ejembi Eko, upheld the earlier decision of the Court of Appeal and awarded N500,000 cost against Akeredolu, in favour of Abraham.

Speaking through Mr. Kunle Eko Davies, Director General of the Olusegun Abraham campaign organization, the Ikare Akoko born businessman urged the people of the state to remain calm.

"We also want to correct the falsehood being peddled by the Akeredolu organization that there is no case in the matter. The judgment by Supreme Court today shows that we have a good case and the frivolous attitude of Mr. Akeredolu and his cohorts.

"Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu should toe the line of the nobility and resign honourably before he is disgraced out of office. The perpetrated fraud that attended the party governorship primary is open and fresh in the memory of all and sundry.Once again we felicitate with the good people of Ondo state and lovers of truth all over the world in an assured Victory through the court," he said
