There was jubilation on Monday at the Oyemekun Grammar School, Akure (OGSA) as one of its old boys and a federal lawmaker representing Akure South/North federal constituency, Mr Afe Olowookere officially flagged off the construction and asphalt overlay of the school's internal road.
The school popularly known as O.G.S.A was established in 1953 and was the first community secondary school in Akure Kingdom.
Speaking during the event, Mr. Olowokere enjoined old students of various schools to facilitate developmental projects to their Alma maters.
He further said the projects was to compliment government efforts to give schools in the state a facelift.
The lawmaker maintained that the school project was aside his constituency projects.
Also speaking, Ondo state deputy governor, Mr Agboola Ajayi commended the lawmaker for facilitating the intra-school road project.
According to him, the lawmaker has given a good account of his representation.
Present at the event was The Deji of Akure, Oba Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo.
Work has begun on the 3-kilometer road and it is expected to be completed within six months.
