As the people of Ose Local government area of Ondo State prepare for the festive season, the caretaker chairman of the council, Hon. Agboola Ajike has met with the Commissioner of police in the state, Mr. Gbenga Adeyanju.
Accompanied by His Royal Majesty, Oba B. A Adeniran, the Onimeri of lmeri Kingdom, Hon Ajike paid the CP a courtesy visit in his Office at the Police Headquarters in Akure yesterday.
Speaking at the meeting, the Caretaker chairman spoke on issues bothering on security in the local government.
Ajike harped on the need to partner with the security agent in the state in order to secure lives and property in the council area.
He called on the police to provide maximum security for the people as many would be traveling to the state to celebrate the festive period with their loved ones.
He also ordered the full payment of the allowances of the vigilante group in the council in order to make them more responsive during the festive season.
While Speaking, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adeyanju praised the efforts of the Council Chairman at bringing peace to the council area.
He further said this could be achieved by partnering with the Security agents in the state by providing information to security agents who are assigned to protect them.
Adeyanju also called on the people of the state to be security conscious during this period.
He promised to deploy a special squad to the local government in order to protect provide maximum security in the council area.
The Council boss and the monarch appreciated the prompt response of the Police Chief who has proved that Security agents in the state are ready to partner with all stakeholders in the state.
