A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Otunba Dele Ologun, has assured the people of the state that the administration of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, will not introduce any policy that will be detrimental to their welfare.
Ologun who stated this on Wednesday, in Akure, Ondo State capital, against the backdrop of the criticism trailing the recommendations of stakeholders at the just concluded education summit n the state.
He assured the people of the state that the free education programme would not be abolished in the stat, saying the present administration in the state meant well for the people of the state and it would not introduce any policy that would affect the welfare of the people.
The APC chieftain solicited continued support for the government so that its developmental projects would be consolidated.
He said: "Ondo State is indeed blessed with a pragmatic governor has displayed a high sense of leadership in the way he directs the affairs of the state.
"Within his short time in office, he has surpassed the expectations of all. So, the people of the state should continue to support his government.
"It is a lie that the government is going to cancel free education in the state. How can a progressive governor such as Akeredolu do that?
"I would like to urge the people of the state not to lose faith in the government because of the lies being told by opposition politicians."
