Motorists plying the Fiwasaye Oba Ile Airport road have been advised to drive with caution to reduce the frequent road crashes in the area.
Ondo state Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Hon.Taofik Abdulsalam who gave the advice while speaking with www.orangefm.com.ng in Akure emphasized the need for motorists and commuters to observe safety rules on the road.
While explaining that the road was designed by government to ease traffic congestion and create easy access to the airport from the city, Hon Abdulsalam attributed most crashes on the road to lack of patience by the motorists.
He ruled out the possibility of government mounting speed breakers on the road warning that anyone caught driving dangerously would be made to face the wrath of the law.
He however called on the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other law enforcement agencies to beem their searchlight on the road to check lawlessness and incessant crashes.
