Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), has described his victory at the last year's November 26 Governorship election as one ordained by God and not man.

The governor made the revelation at a thanksgiving service held in his honour at the Cornerstone Ministry International Church, Ibadan on sunday.

Addressing the congregation at the service, Akeredolu remarked that there is nothing impossible for God to do in the life of man and therefore urged everyone to always express gratitude to their creator.

The governor who described his gesture to the church as a little way of thanking God for all He had done in his life, added that he will never relent in serving Him for the rest of his life.

While stressing that it is only God who can do all things for man, he expressed his administration's readiness to reposition the state to a higher pedestal.

He thanked the church for their steadfastness, support and prayers before, during and after the poll.

In his sermon, Bishop Taiwo Adelakun of Victory International Church Rehoboth Cathedral, Ibadan, who described thanksgiving as a commandment from God, enjoined Governor Akeredolu to seek wisdom and knowledge from God in order for him to pilot the affairs of the state right.

Also speaking, Pastor in-charge of Cornerstone Ministry International Church, Abiola Daodu thanked the Governor for supporting the Church with the venue used for the church since 2013 and prayed to God  to lead him through in piloting the affairs of the state for the next four years.

Highpoint of the service was the rendition of special songs dedicated to the governor and prayers for his family, Ondo State and the nation at large.
