Akeredolu, others honour OBJ at son’s wedding

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, in Lagos joined other distinguished personalities from all walks of life to grace the wedding ceremony of the son of former President Olusegun Obasanjo to his heartthrob.

Dignitaries who graced the ceremony included former Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, his Osun State counterpart, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, former USA Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Walter Carrington, Business mogul, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr Godwin Emefiele, Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, Osemawe of Ondo, Oba Victor Kiladejo and members of the National Assembly among others.

Delivering the sermon at the Holy Solemnization of Temitope and Olujonwo Obasanjo at the Methodist Church of the Trinity, Tinubu Square, Lagos, The Rt. Rev'd  Michael Akinwale said attitude of patience, unconditional love, trust, faithfulness and care for each other must be part of the cherished values to imbibe for the marriage to be successful.

According to the cleric, a marriage consummated according to the wishes of God would always be an experience of paradise on earth.

The couple, he added, must at all times integrate the golden rules of a Christian Home for the marriage to actualise the mandate of God for the family to prosper.

Bishop Akinwale who is the Secretary General of Conference of the Methodist Church of Nigeria added that it is the mandate of God that couple listen to each other, wife submits to her husband and the husband loves his wife.

The cleric said the couple must at always value each other, pray together to stay together and conclusively invest in holiness and righteousness for their union to be blissful.

Father of the bridegroom, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, later played host to the A-list guests at the prestigious Eko Hotel & Suites.
