The Lagos Boy crooner had revealed to R in an exclusive interview last year that he was discussing a deal with one of Nigeria's telecommunications giants, but would not reveal the brand until he was ready he would sign.
The news of his switch to Globacom after his three-year contract with Etisalat expired last year was greeted with congratulatory wishes from his fans even as they asked him not to rest on his oars.
Speaking with R on his decision to join Glo, Olamide said he was confident of the good intention of Globacom, especially its growing love for Nigerian youths by providing rich entertainment across Africa.
"It is true, I have signed for Globacom and I am proud to be associating with the brand. The company has shown a great level of commitment to the entertainment industry over the years and has continued to prove that it appreciates the contributions of Nigerian artistes to the development of music in Africa. Good times are here and I can't wait to rule my world with Glo," he said.
