The Court of Appeal has suspended the ruling in the legal battle between Ahmed Makarfi and Ali Modu Sheriff over the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party.

According to a report by Premium Times, the ruling which was expected to be delivered on Tuesday afternoon was suspended following a petition against the judges.

It was further reported that the petition had accused judges in charge of the case of bias.

While no new date has been fixed for the ruling, the two factions of the opposition party are leaving no stone unturned in getting a favourable judgement.

The two factions of the party had been seeking nullification and counter nullification of decisions of different courts.

The rift between the two factions have created crisis in the Ondo State coming governorship election with Eyitayo Jegedeaggrieved over INEC's omission of his name from the list while Jimoh Ibrahim was announced the certified candidate of PDP.
