Governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Ondo State, Chief Olusola Oke has assured the people that only the AD can liberate the state from the bondage which it has been subjected to by the present administration of Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.
Oke said the present situation of "indebtedness, neglect, deprivation, starvation, regression and poverty" which had become the lot of the state under the present administration had compelled people to yearn for real change which he assured that only the AD could provide through winning the November 26 governorship election.
The AD candidate, who spoke yesterday at Ode Irele, Ajagba, Akotogbo and Iju Osun during his campaign tour of Irele Council said, "As things are, only AD can redeem the state."
Oke assured that the party will restore the lost glory of the state through equitable distribution of wealth, resources and projects, assuring the people of Ondo South Senatorial District of new lease of life.
According to him, "AD is the only hope of the people of the state and it is showing from the massive supports we have been receiving in the short time''.
He bemoaned the hardship, neglect and abandonment which people had suffered under the present ruling party in the state.
The AD governorship candidate admonished the electorate that the responsibility to produce the desired "real change," lies with them by voting for AD.
