There is pandemonium in the camp of Ondo state governor, Olusegun Mimiko this night as the Independent national electoral commission(INEC) has named Jimoh Ibrahim as the PDP's governorship candidate in the upcoming Ondo state elections. Mimiko, who was rooting seriously for Eyitayo Jegede is said to be in shock and currently making last minute efforts to solve the issue.
Mimiko belongs to the Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led faction of the party. They held a primary and adopted Mr. Jegede as its governorship candidate. On the other hand, Ibrahim belongs to the Ali Modu-sheriff faction and they selected him as their candidate.
It's no suprise that Ibrahim came out tops as the PDP faction led by Sheriff seems to be in the good books of the APC led government.
