"Any delegate vote not for Abraham is a wasted vote" - Dr. Paul Akintelure

In a move akin to a direct endorsement, a fellow gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state, Dr. Paul Akintelure, has declared support for the frontline candidate, Olusegun Abraham, identifying him as a true party man and the governor who will easily bring the much needed transformation to Ondo state.

He made this declaration of support on Friday, 19th of August, at a delegates' meet in Odigbo local government, where he stressed that any delegates' vote not cast for Abraham in the upcoming party primary is a wasted vote.

"The reason why I am here today to support my brother, Olusegun Abraham, is out of a true interest for the people of Ondo state. Myself, and some other fellow aspirants are resolved to embrace what's best for our state ahead of the coming election. We will  defeat the PDP, and all of us, together with our party must present the best shot at achieving that", said Akintelure, to a glaringly glad audience.

He added, " To achieve an Ondo that works, I assure you that Olusegun Abraham is the way. Every well-meaning delegate should see the importance of voting for an aspirant who has the highest and most-fitting competence quotient to transform Ondo state, especially our economy, from penury to buoyancy"

When asked why he is stepping down to throw his weight behind Olusegun Abraham, Akintelure gave his reason hinged on the interest in the people's welfare.

In his words, "The truth is that, it can be quite painful personally to drop my ambition to serve my people in order to support my brother, Olusegun Abraham, but, I cannot put my own personal pain above the interest of the good people of Ondo state who definitely deserve a better government than what has been obtainable in the past 8 years".

"If you ask me what my primary interest is as a proud and responsible Ondo son, I'd answer thrice, and say it is the citizens, the citizens and thirdly, the citizens. And so, with Olusegun Abraham at the helm, I'm sure the citizens will smile", Akintelure stressed.

The APC party primary election is scheduled for the 27th of August, and Olusegun Abraham, accompanied by Akintelure, was in Odigbo local government to further intimate the party delegates therein, with his practical plans to give Ondo an allround turnaround.
