The House of Representatives on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 passed thirteen bills within the period of twenty (20) minutes after being read for the third time.
The bills are;
1. A bill for an Act to amend the utilities charges commission Act
2. A bill for an Act to amend the chartered institute of stockbrokers Act
3. A bill for an Act to amend the Petroleum Training institute Act
4. A bill for an Act to amend the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency Act
5. A bill for an Act to amend the quantity surveyors Act
6. A bill for an Act to amend the bees (import, control and management) Act
7. A bill for an Act to amend the national judicial Institute Act
8. A bill for an Act to Amend the prevention of crimes Act
9. A bill to amend the water resources Act
10. A bill to amend the endangered species Act
11. A bill for an Act to amend the agricultural and Rural management training institute Act
12. A bill for an Act to amend the telecommunications and postal offences Act
13. A bill for an Act to amend the treaty to establish the African Economic Community relating to the Pan-African parliament Act.
Recall that the House had passed 131 bills for First Reading within thirty (30) minutes in December 2015.
Similarly, the Senate had they passed 46 bills into law in ten (10) minutes just a day before the end of 7th Assembly.
