An employee of the Ecobank branch at Bourdillon, Ikoyi, Lagos, 33-year-old Bukola Olowookere, has been missing since May 5, 2016, sending her family into panic because no clue has yet to emerge as to her whereabouts.
Her husband of four years, Adewale, toldSaturday PUNCH on Thursday that as she left her office at the close of work on the day she went missing, she called him to say she was on her way home.
According to him, she called around 7pm as she stepped out of her office. But that was the last he heard from her.
Adewale said they have a four year old son who has been asking for his mother consistently.
Saturday PUNCH learnt that a colleague of hers gave her a lift from the office but dropped her off around Canoe area of Ajao Estate, Isoloon her way to Oke-Afa area of Ejigbo where she lives with her husband.
No one has any inkling what could have happened to her within the short distance it would have taken her to get home.
Friends and associates have been circulating her photographs on the social media appealing for information that can help locate her.
But her family said they have got no calls pertaining to her, throwing them into apprehension on whether this is an abduction or not.
"We wait by the phone every day with the hope that whoever is holding her will make a call and demand money, but nothing like this has happened. But we keep praying for her and we are sure we will get her back," a family member told our correspondent.
The case was reported at the Ejigbo Police Division, Lagos but so far investigation into her whereabouts has been stalled.
The Lagos State Police Command spokersperson, Dolapo Badmus, said the case has been transferred to the police headquarters for more intense investigation.
