Over 70 Chairmen and Commissioners from State Independent Electoral Commission's [SIECs] across the country are monitoring
Saturday's Local Government elections in Ondo state.
Chairperson, of the Forum who led the team to Ondo, Mrs Ukpong Gloria, lauded the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission |ODIEC] for its adequate preparation for the smooth conduct of the council polls.
Mrs Ukpong who is the chairman of AkwaIbom State Independent Electoral Commission, gave the commendation while speaking with journalists at the ODIEC Office in Akure, explained that the forum was in the state to have a personal experience of the electoral process.
She also added that the forum will give necessary moral support to ODIEC to ensure the poll is free, fair and credible.
In the meantime, at least 30 Local and International Observers are monitoring the election.
