Kachikwu who is also the Group Managing Director of NNPC, expressed his concern on Wednesday, explaining that what the state oil company did was "reorganization," a restructuring that will see it split into five divisions.
"We are going to have a meeting with them right now. I don't want the industry shut down – I am going now to resolve the issues very soon," Kachikwu told Reuters.
His Technical Assisstant on New Media, Ogechi Nnodim, confirmed the planned meeting to DAILY POST Wednesday afternoon.
"Not sure of time of meeting but will inform you when I get the information," the aide said in a text message.
