Kiakiagas Nigeria has since grown to become the largest retailer for cooking gas (LPG) in the country offering world-class expertise in 45minutes shipment to homes and industries, real-time tracking of customer's LPG quantity, pay-on-delivery and related services. ''The idea is to take advantage of the big opportunity in online retail Market and to give Nigerians convenient and a faster cooking gas buy option. Most households now depend on Gas for cooking. Study conducted showed that 71% of non users are willing to spend up to N2,000/per month. Thus if the issue of affordability, awareness, availability and safety are addressed 69% of non users can be converted. We would be offering the best choice. We started with 10 customers daily from the Festac Lagos axis and now we are ready to scale up operations to other parts of the country''–Said C.O.O James Atiti

According to a report from WLPGA; The West African LPG market is rapidly growing, about 60% of current LPG consumption in West Africa is concentrated in four countries; Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, and Senegal. The only other countries in the region with significant consumption of LPG are Angola, Gabon, and Nigeria. Globally, Nigeria is the 6th largest producer of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and the second largest on the African continent. Despite this, the country has the lowest LPG utilization per capita in Africa though potential demand exists of 1.5 million metric tonnes per annum. Huge proven gas reserves portend opportunities to exploit diverse investment opportunities across the spectrum of the sector. Furthermore, Nigeria's reserve-production ratio of 55.7 years is above the global average. Currently, national consumption is estimated at 30 percent or 250,000 tonnes. This is low when compared with the production or output of 850,000 tonnes of LPG earmarked for domestic utilization in 2013. This translates to 1.8 kilogram per capita, whereas the West African regional average is 3.5 kilogrammes.

C.E.O of kiakiagas Uwandu Ifeanyi says the company's bold vision to be leading cooking gas brand in Nigeria and Sub Saharan Africa by 2025 was borne out of the fact that LPG consumption in Nigeria and Sub Saharan Africa is heavily concentrated in the vicinity of capitals and major cities. Urban areas currently account for 65% to 90% of total national demand in Nigeria. He further said this social gap  and market opportunity for cooking gas is been plugged and harnessed already by expanding the brand's  exceptional service delivery of cooking gas and its related products to Magodo, Berger, Ogudu, Ikeja, Ogba, Gbagada, Alapere areas from Festac-Amuwo-Old-Ojo-Road Axis to cater for needs of willing customers and will rapidly expand to other states in Nigeria and Countries in Sub-Saharan Africa with a special focus on the rural areas to help spur the development of LPG markets in outlying areas of each country.
