The Ondo State Government has re-invigorated the State Wealth Creation Agency (WECA) to look at how the State government could identify, initiate and implement programs and projects that could generate income for the state and create wealth for the people, particularly from Agriculture so as to guarantee food security and youth development.
The Governor aligned with the reality that policy implementation is very key and strategic in good governance.
Consequently, Barr. Mrs Bolanle Olafunmiloye was appointed to drive the vision and mission of the Agency-- "To make Ondo State a haven for agribusiness, agro processing and other small enterprises where opportunities for both young and old are harnessed and crystallized into massive wealth creation, job creation and income generation for all".
Today, the effort of the visionary governor is now yielding positive results as the State can now boast of its own branded food such as "Eja WECA" both smoked and live Cat Fish, "Adiye WECA" live and frozen Chicken that is devoid of hazardous chemicals, "AGBADO WECA" fresh and dry Maize, "Garri WECA", "Oyin WECA" undiluted and purely refined WECA honey, "Malu WECA" WECA Cow, "Lawyers and Judges Wig".
All these WECA products are available in stores and Supermarkets across the State.
