The Idoma Elite Club Worldwide (IEC) is calling on the entire Idoma people of Benue South Senatorial District to remain calm and exude that 'unity of purpose' by ensuring that the rescheduled Senatorial election is peacefully held irrespective of party affiliations.
While calling on the campaign organizations of the gladiators in this contest to shun any form of calumnious campaign, we also want to urge the youths to eschew any act of thuggery and very importantly they should not allow themselves to be used by politicians to cause any form of unrest as the peace which we enjoy presently as a people is sacrosanct.
Anyone not satisfied with the outcome of the tribunal should not resort to self help but rather approach the appropriate quarters to ventilate his or her grievances.
We also call on our community and religious leaders to avoid being partisan but rather, focus on their fatherly and spiritual obligation to the people especially at this critical point of our history.
Finally, we urge all well meaning Idoma son and daughter to come out enmasse and support the candidate of their choice.
Security agents should be on alert so as to nip in the bud any threat to the peaceful co-existence and political stability of the Idoma nation.
We must remember that power comes from God and He gives it to whoever he pleases.
