Yahaya Bello, is a  40-year-old indigene of Agassa in Okene LGA of Kogi State.
‎
He studied Accounting, at the Ahmadu Bello University from 1996-1999

He lost to Abubakar Audu in the governorship primary in Kogi, but has now emerged Kogi Governor-elect following Audu's Death

Bello polled 247,742, including the 240,861 votes polled by Abubakar Audu, which he automatically inherited.

Finally, Bello is the first Governor to be produced by the 6-3-3-4 education system.
