Just few weeks after they both took part in a charity match, David Beckham and his former coach, Sir Alex Ferguson reunited at the Grassroot Soccer fundraising gala forWorld AIDS Day.
Last month, Beckham organised a 'Match for the Children' in aid of children's charity UNICEF with Ferguson the manager of the British X1.
The event which held on Tuesday, December 2 was to raise money for the organisation and was attended by the likes of Freddie Ljungberg, Robert Pires and Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs.
The money raised will be spent on a range of unique football-based health education programmes in southern Africa which has been affected by AIDS.
Grassroot Soccer currently reaches 1.3m young people in 50 countries with adolescent-friendly health and sex education services. It uses a combination of education and football to empower youngsters to overcome one of the greatest health challenges affecting the continent.
The use of sport is down to its significance in local cultures across the globe. It is something that according to Grassroot Soccer's vision is, 'so positive that it brings smiles to children's faces even in the worst of circumstances.
Last month, he organised a 'Match for the Children' in aid of children's charity UNICEF which saw two teams stocked with some of football's biggest names play out an exhibition match at Old Trafford.
