Saraki's counsel, Ahmed Mogaji had urged the tribunal to suspend further hearing on the matter pending the Supreme Court's decision on the matter. His arguement was, however, opposed by the prosecution, Rotimi Jacobs.
The Tribunal having listened to submissions from both counsels, refused to adjourn the case.
Reacting to the development, the defense counsel, Ahmed Mogaji resigned from defending Senator Saraki.
Meanwhile, Saraki has asked for adjournment to enable him engage another defense counsel.
The case has been adjourned to November 18 and 19.
