Havilah Empowerment Africa Trains 15 In Beads Making In Minna

 Sharon Ogechi Macauley, The Initator of Havilah Empowerment Africa , on Monday said the organization held her Second Fashion Training in Minna Niger State, the training had over 15 ladies who learnt Beads making, Makeovers and Gele tying.

Sharon told FaithOlaniran's Blog in Minna that the training was part of the directorate's skills acquisition and job creation for women.

She said that the training would empower the women to engage in income generating activities in the town and encourage self-employment.

"Over 15 Trainee which took part were drawn from all works of life and they went through Beads making, Makeovers and Gele tying trainings.

"This programme is designed to empower the women to engage in self-employment and enhance household income.

The organization's focus is to alleviate poverty through empowerment of unskilled and unemployed youths and women through skills acquisition," he said.

Sharon said that the mandate of HEA was to generate mass employment by ensuring that the large pool of unemployed Nigerians were encouraged to acquire necessary skills to boost job creation.

She said that training and empowering unemployed people in the country would enable them compete with others in the labour market.

The Initiator advised the ladies to enhance their economic status in production and contribute as partners in the family and the society at large.

Mrs Sarah Pius, one of the trainees, who spoke to FOB commended HEA for giving them the opportunity to acquire skills.

Batubo called on HEA to continue to organise programmes that would alleviate poverty in the country.

Miss Biola said she really enjoyed all the sessions of the training, and it will avail her opportunity to teach more people around her and be happy affecting people around her positively.
