Police parades three suspects over robbery in Edo

‎Edo State Commissioner of police, Mr. Chris Ezike says men of the command cracked down on a four man gang at Ogida axis of Benin City on Thursday morning.

Chris Ezike says his men acted on tip off following a distress call at wee hours of Thursday.

He says one of the suspects was fatally injured while three others were arrested during a shoot out between the police and the gang.

The suspects were attempted to attack a residence at Ogida  quarters, Egor Local Government Area of Edo State before they met their waterloo.

The state commissioner of police promised to sustain the war against crime and criminality across the state.

Meanwhile, the suspects were not allowed to speak to journalists following an ongoing investigation.

While parading the suspects, the state Command's Public Relations Officer, Mr. Stephen Onwoiche said the suspects will be permitted to speak to newsmen upon conclusion of the investigation.

A locally made cut to size gun and a number of live cartridges were recovered from the suspects.
