The management of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State has named the institution's library after its former Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Albert Ilemobade.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adebiyi Daramola, made this known at a commendation service in honour of Ilemobade on Monday.
The former VC's domestic aides killed him on June 21, 2015.
According to Daramola, the former VC deserved the honour because of his many contributions to the development of the university and the nation's education sector.
Daramola said, "It is therefore, my delight to announce that in recognition of Ilemobade's scholarly contributions to the growth and sustainability of the development of the university, the Governing Council has granted approval to immortalise him by naming the university library after him."
